Elvis Aaron Presley in humblest of circumstance was born to Vernon and Gladys Presley in a two roomed house in tupelo mississippi on 8th january 1935
His twin brother Jessie Garon was stillborn leaving Elvis to grow up as an only child.
He and his parents moved to memphis tennessee in 1948 and Elvis graduated from Humes High School in 1953.
Elvis's musical influences were pop&country music of the time the gospel music he heard in church at the all night gospel sings he frequently attended and the black r&b he absorbed on historic beale st as a memphis teenager.in 1954 he began his singing career with legendary Sun Records Label in memphis
In late 1955 his recording contract was sold to RCA Victor.by 1956 he was an international sensation with a sound and style that uniquely combined his diverse musical influences and blurred and challenged the social and racial barriers of the time,he ushered in a whole new era of american music and popular culture
He starred in 33 successful flims made history with his television appearances and specials he knew great acclaim through his many often record breaking live concert perfomances on tour and in las vegas.Globally he sold over one billion records more than any other artist his american sounds earned him gold platinum or multi-platinum awards for 150 different albums and singles far more than any other artist.among his many awards and accolades were 14 grammy nominations[3 wins] from the national academy of recording arts and sciences.the grammy lifetime achievement award which he receive at age of 36 and being named one of the ten outstanding young men of the nation for 1970 by the usa .Without any speacial privileges his celebrity status might have afforded him he honorably served his country.
You would never have guessed any of this back in 1953 when a young worker from the Parker Machinist Shop wandered into the memphis recording studio to record two songs as a belated birthday present for his mum
Elvis met Priscilla at a party in bad nauheim germany in 1959,she was 14 he was 24 shortly before christmas in 1966 he proposed to Priscilla they married on may 1st 1967 at the Aladdin Hotel in las vegas their only child Lisa Marie was born on 1st febuary 1968 sadly their marriage was not to last and they divorced on 9th october 1973.
His talent, good looks.sensuality,charisma and good humor endured him to millions as did humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life know the world over by his first name he was regarded as one of the most important figures of the twentieth century popular culture..
Elvis died at his memphis home graceland on 16th august 1977.

i just remember watching his movies listening to his music day dreaming one day i will be elvis presleys wife i know it sounds silly but that was our time. i was crushed when they announced he died. Than my mom made a mistake telling that she went to one of his last concerts in vegas i was very hurt i didnt get to go. I love you Elvis cant wait to meet you one day.

to elvis its 32 years now since your death and i still miss you i sing your songs on kareoke and e sings your songs as well but we sing 1 together people still love you me and my friend graem sing at the end of the night american trilogy and it is really quiet till we finish it and the applaude us it all ways bring tears to my eyes as i have a lot of memories as a child when i used to hear your songs on the radio and my dad used to sing along with you and now im 60 and iv never forgot. i still love and miss you very much elv always in my heart R I P
